Our Key Goals

CSA’s vision is to see young Australians educated to know Christ and be worthy of Him (Ephesians 4:1).

CSA supports, enhances and further develops the work of member schools and the wider sector.

Our goal is to foster excellence, growth and leadership in and through Christian education.

Excellence

We are supporting and fostering the continuing development of excellence in educational practice in Christian schools. CSA is

  • providing direct support and assistance to member schools
  • fostering networks for the mutual support of schools and individuals within the CSA fellowship
  • enabling the exchange of leading practice models between schools
  • providing ongoing professional development through conferences and publications
  • promoting and supporting excellent undergraduate and post—graduate Christian education for teachers through partner institutions in the tertiary sector
  • promoting leading practice in the financial administration and governance of member schools

Growth

We are building for the future based on firm foundations and demonstrated achievement. CSA is

  • maintaining the integrity of the vision for Christian education in Australia, while ensuring it continues to speak in authentic and relevant ways to succeeding generations
  • supporting and enabling growth within our sector
  • providing for the ongoing professional and spiritual development of current and future educational leaders
  • providing professional development of board members - developing the current and future governors of our schools
  • supporting and enabling the continuing growth of our sector
  • supporting growth in the number of Christian schools towards the aim that every child has the viable choice of education in a Christian school
  • developing financial and other models to allow for this growth

Leadership

We are demonstrating leadership in the educational and wider communities. CSA is

  • providing advocacy and representation for member schools and our sector
  • engaging with government at all levels, promoting policies of mutual benefit
  • fostering good relationships with the corporate sector, other not-for-profit and faith-based organisations and the communities served by Christian schooling
  • contributing to and impacting upon public policy debates about education and contemporary Australian culture.
  • promoting leading practice through conferences, publications, on our website, in public presentations and through the media
  • developing relationships for positive exchange with Christian educators internationally
