Our Key Goals
CSA’s vision is to see young Australians educated to
know Christ and be worthy of Him (Ephesians 4:1).
CSA supports, enhances and further develops the work of member schools and the
wider sector.
Our goal is to foster excellence, growth and leadership in and through Christian
education.
Excellence
We are supporting and fostering the continuing development of excellence in
educational practice in Christian schools. CSA is
- providing direct support and assistance to member schools
- fostering networks for the mutual support of schools and individuals
within the CSA fellowship
- enabling the exchange of leading practice models between schools
- providing ongoing professional development through conferences and
publications
- promoting and supporting excellent undergraduate and post—graduate
Christian education for teachers through partner institutions in the tertiary
sector
- promoting leading practice in the financial administration and governance
of member schools
Growth
We are building for the future based on firm foundations and demonstrated
achievement. CSA is
- maintaining the integrity of the vision for Christian education in
Australia, while ensuring it continues to speak in authentic and relevant ways
to succeeding generations
- supporting and enabling growth within our sector
- providing for the ongoing professional and spiritual development of
current and future educational leaders
- providing professional development of board members - developing the
current and future governors of our schools
- supporting and enabling the continuing growth of our sector
- supporting growth in the number of Christian schools towards the aim that
every child has the viable choice of education in a Christian school
- developing financial and other models to allow for this growth
Leadership
We are demonstrating leadership in the educational and wider communities. CSA
is
- providing advocacy and representation for member schools and our sector
- engaging with government at all levels, promoting policies of mutual
benefit
- fostering good relationships with the corporate sector, other
not-for-profit and faith-based organisations and the communities served by
Christian schooling
- contributing to and impacting upon public policy debates about education
and contemporary Australian culture.
- promoting leading practice through conferences, publications, on our
website, in public presentations and through the media
- developing relationships for positive exchange with Christian educators
internationally
