A great opportunity to get together across the globe to look at "Inspiring Imagination" in the context of embedding a biblical worldview into the fabric of our schools. 

Inspiring Imagination is the first Leadership Practice from the CSA Leadership Framework.

Event Information

This international symposium is a professional learning event suited for Christian school leaders and teachers and is hosted by Christian Schools Australia and Global Connect. There will be a range of handouts and tools available to all who attend.

Event Host

Sandra Scott

Sandra has a wealth of experience in Christian education and teacher training within Australia and beyond. From 2011 – 2018 she was the South Australia Executive Officer for Christian Schools Australia, with curriculum as her national portfolio. In 2019 Sandra co-developed and piloted the EAGLE teacher training program for ACSI India. Sandra’s passion is for high-quality, authentic Christian schools which are fertile places for the transformation of students’ hearts and minds. She loves to promote local and global connections and relationships, inspire teachers and leaders to embrace their high calling, and encourage quality mission and service activities. 

Guest Speakers

Mark Ryan

Mark Ryan has been part of the CSA team since 2019 in the role of Executive Officer, SA. Mark has previous experience in leadership roles at Temple Christian College and has degrees in both education and theology. He has also held pastoral roles in a number of churches. Mark serves as a Director on the Board of Compass and with such an excellent grasp of biblical literacy, worldview and its application to culture, learning and vocation, is well-placed to lead CSA's national portfolio of, Christian Formation.

Pamela Sephton

Pam Sephton is the Director of Education at Asian Hope Schools in Cambodia. Born in Liverpool, UK, Pam has been in education for over 40 years. She has worked in Asia for over 20 years; first in Bangladesh then Thailand and now in Cambodia. Pam has been in Cambodia with Asian Hope Schools for over 10 years. Pam is passionate about education, loves developing curriculum and supporting leaders, teachers and students as they learn and grow. Pam's presentation will include a focus on Integrated curriculum for bilingual learners rooted in Biblical Christian Worldview, and expected school-wide results as examples.

Julius Tajale

Julius is the acting Liaison Officer for Biblical Worldview Integration at ACSI in the Philippines. In his session, Julius will use his broad teacher training experience to share a story of two worldviews and then give specific strategies for integrating a biblical worldview into classroom teaching and learning programs.

Juliet Galiwango

Juliet is the National Director of New Hope International in Uganda. Juliet was born and lives in Uganda ( East Africa). She is married to Pr. Tom Galiwango with whom they have 5 children. Juliet is a teacher by profession and has served in New Hope international for 10 years. She is passionate about Christian education and enjoys training Christian teachers and leaders on how to teach the curriculum from a biblical perspective. In her session, Juliet will share from the NHI teacher training program that is producing transformational outcomes in many parts of Africa.
