WA Leadership Teams Study Tour

Join us for a study tour of 4 very different schools in Albany.

Learn new leadership approaches for diverse school contexts and understand how this impacts the structure of the school.  

Bring your team, particularly your aspiring leaders (including Deputy Heads, 2ICs and Heads of Department) and come ready to broaden your knowledge of leadership styles in these schools. 

Event Information

This event is ideally suited to aspiring leaders including Deputy Heads, 2ICs and Heads of Department. As a group, we will be departing from the CSA Office (1 Padbury Terrace, Midland) and also returning to this same location.

Registration is only open to CSA Member schools and the cost includes transport, accommodation and food for the entire tour. There is a question at registration for you to indicate if you require collection for the departure.

Included in the cost is the following:

  • Accommodation for 4 nights (Mon-Thu). Accommodation is individual in single rooms with a queen bed.
  • Meals will be covered for the tour, including: dinner on Mon night, all food Tue-Thu, and breakfast on Fri. 
  • You will need to provide your own lunch on the trips down and back. There will be opportunity to purchase food/drink at stops on the way there and back.

Program Outline

A brief outline of the study tour is provided below:

  • Monday: Transport from Perth to Albany
  • Tuesday to Thursday: School Visits
  • Friday: Transport from Albany to Perth

Your Host, Dave Stevens

Dave Stevens serves as the Executive Officer, WA and leads the national portfolio of, Modes and Models of Schooling. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having taught and held leadership roles in a range of schools nationally and internationally. Dave’s knowledge across a broad range of specialist areas, educational sectors and contexts, is evidenced in his ability to develop alternative programs that meet the needs of the students and teachers, whilst addressing the requirements of legislation. His passion for Relational Schools assists all schools in student wellness and retention.

Mim is the Principal of Bethel Christian School and we will be heading to Bethel Christian School on our tour:

Qualify for CPD Hours

At the conclusion of this event, a certificate of professional learning will be made available to attendees, for self-accreditation via your member dashboard, and will address the following AITSL professional teacher and leadership standards:

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued after 7 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. 

The event program is subject to change and we may not be able to provide prior notice.

Please note that registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself.

A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to COVID-19 restrictions or any other reasons out of the organisers control.

We are committed to the health and safety of our member community and are following government guidelines regarding the spread of COVID-19.

Check-in: Please ensure you check-in at the venue, via school reception, upon arrival.

Vaccination Notice: All attendees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Government directive. Masks are not required to be worn, but please feel free to wear a mask for your own health and safety.
