A special professional learning event for those new to Christian schooling. This training seeks to empower staff in Christian schools to embrace their purpose and mission to bring the message of Jesus, through education, to a world in need.

A special professional learning event for those new to Christian schooling. This training seeks to empower staff in Christian schools to embrace their purpose and mission to bring the message of Jesus, through education, to a world in need.

We look forward to welcoming members and non-members, who may be new to Christian schooling, to this event. 

Event Information

This event is ideally suited to any staff (teaching and non-teaching) who may be new to Christian schooling.

This training program has been specifically designed to be run as a staff induction program. It is comprised of four individual sessions and the first two (Vision and Culture) will be explored at this event.

Vision: This module explores the vision, history and purpose of Christian schooling and gives some insight as to how this could play out in each school.

Culture: This module looks at the hallmarks of a Christian culture and how it can be fostered, developed and maintained, as well as the impacts it may have on overall school vision.

Program Outline

A brief overview of the program is provided below, however please note this program is subject to change:

  • 8:00am Arrival Tea & Coffee
  • 8:30am Welcome and Introduction
  • 9:00am Session 1: Vision
  • 10:30am Morning Tea
  • 11:00am Session 2: Culture
  • 12:30pm Lunch
  • 1:30pm Summary and Recap
  • 2:00pm Event concludes

Speakers

Event Facilitator, Dave Stevens

Dave Stevens serves as the Executive Officer, WA and leads the national portfolio of, Modes and Models of Schooling. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having taught and held leadership roles in a range of schools nationally and internationally. Dave’s knowledge across a broad range of specialist areas, educational sectors and contexts, is evidenced in his ability to develop alternative programs that meet the needs of the students and teachers, whilst addressing the requirements of legislation. His passion for Relational Schools assists all schools in student wellness and retention.

Qualify for CPD Hours

This event attracts CPD hours according to the following AITSL professional teacher and leadership standards:

»  7.4 - Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities 

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued after 30 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. 

The event program is subject to change and we may not be able to provide prior notice.

Please note that registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself.

A full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to COVID-19 restrictions or any other reasons out of the organisers control.

Flourish explores the vision, history and purpose of Christian schooling, the hallmarks of a Christian school culture, the role that faith, theology and worldview play in a school environment and what it looks like to work, teach, and live out the Christian life in a school.
