Land Tax for Victorian Charities - Opposition Commitments

Schools will recall our earlier Briefing regarding the grassroots campaign to support sensible amendments to Victoria's Land Tax Act and the response from the Victorian Treasurer outlined in our subsequent Briefing.

Despite the promise by the Government of a review the leaders of the campaign against these changes remain concerned.  In response, the Liberal Opposition have committed to 'scraping Daniel Andrews' charities tax'.

While details of the Opposition's proposals are not provided, this is a welcome commitment and we trust ensures that the issue remains in focus through the election campaign and into the new parliament.
