Submission on QLD Draft Anti-Discrimination Bill

In our previous Briefing we updated schools on the release of the draft new Anti-Discrimination Bill 2024 (the Bill).

Earlier today CSA lodged a joint submission with our colleagues from the Australian Association of Christian Schools in relation to the Bill.

We pointed out that there are a wide range of serious questions that must be addressed in relation to the Bill, and called for a more extensive consultation and inquiry process to ensure that these concerns are properly addressed. The submission was comprehensive but high level, as there is little confidence that the consultation process will result in any real changes.
