2IC and Emerging Leaders Network Meeting

2IC and Emerging Leaders Network Meeting

The 2IC and Emerging Leaders Network meeting is an opportunity for Deputy/Assistant Principals and Emerging Leaders to gather for a time of networking, encouragement, and professional learning with morning tea included.

Event Information

The focus of our first 2IC and Emerging Leaders Network Meeting for 2023 will be on Teaching and Learning. With this in mind, I’d encourage you to invite your Head of Teaching and Learning (or equivalent role within your school) to come with you on the day.

We will be joined by Andrew Taylor (CSA EO, QLD), who has recently published our CSA Teaching and Learning Framework. Andrew has a national portfolio in the area of school improvement and has an extensive background in assisting schools to improve practices around teaching and learning. While we don’t normally charge for 2IC events, the small cost will help cover some of Andrew’s travelling expenses.

We would also love for you to bring along your own school’s framework to provoke discussion around some different approaches, but if that is still a work in progress, we would love you there anyway!.

Your Speaker: Andrew Taylor, Executive Officer QLD

Andrew Taylor, currently serves as the Executive Officer, Qld and has over 30 years' experience in a range of leadership roles in education and has spent the last 15 years focusing on building capacity in teachers and school leaders. Andrew leads the national portfolio for School Improvement and is an experienced school improvement consultant focusing on building strong foundations that underpin all school activities.

Your Host: Mark Ryan, Executive Officer SA

Mark Ryan has been part of the CSA team since 2019 in the role of Executive Officer, SA. Mark has previous experience in leadership roles at Temple Christian College and, with degrees in both education and theology, held pastoral roles in a number of churches. Mark serves as a Director on the Board of Compass and with such an excellent grasp of biblical literacy, worldview and its application to culture, learning and vocation, is well-placed to lead CSA's national portfolio of Christian Formation.
