He has also coached hockey up to and including international level in both UK and Australia.

Speaker: Paul Valese - Head of College, Mueller College

Deep down, Paul is a Chinese language teacher who has been given the incredible opportunity to serve in leadership in a Christian school. Paul commenced his teaching career in 1991, and, after teaching in the State, Catholic and Lutheran school systems, he settled at Mueller College, a P-12 school of 1800 students on the outskirts of Brisbane. It was in 2009 that Paul, hesitantly, stepped from the classroom to leadership with his first appointment as a Primary School Principal. As a secondary-trained teacher, Paul quickly realised that staff are the heartbeat of a successful school and he needed quality, Christian educators to make the Primary school hum. In 2013, Paul was subsequently appointed Head of College. Mueller College has consistently grown in the past 10 years, highlighting the importance of a team of staff who love Jesus and have a passion to serve.
