SRS Plus: Community of Practice Forum 2

This 45 minute forum will provide you with dedicated to time to deepen your understanding of child safe standards and learn practical ways to implement these in your schools then this forum is for you.

Held once per term, this forum will provide opportunity for attendees to learn and discuss ways to effectively implement the child safe standards. You can connect with other schools to share learnings or implementation successes with a focus on demonstrating the implementation of child safe standards.

Speakers

The course presenter will be either Kate Halloran, Clare Morrissey  or Anna Morris from Halloran Morrissey. 

Kate Halloran, Director

Kate is a specialist child protection practitioner with a long career working in senior roles in government including the NSW Department of Education and Communities, the NSW Ombudsman Office, the NSW Department of Community Services, the NSW Joint Investigation Response Teams. Kate also held a senior role at the Association of Independent School of NSW leading and overseeing advice provision to school leaders provided by the child protection and employment relations team. Kate’s passion is to support leaders of organisations to navigate the difficult and complex world of safeguarding.

Clare Morrissey, Director

Clare has extensive experience providing specialist child protection and safeguarding advice to various organisations. Clare is also a trained mediator, a qualified social worker, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW as a legal practitioner. After working in child protection response roles with the NSW Department of Community Services, Clare worked as a child protection investigator with the NSW Department of Education and as a Senior Child Protection Advisor at the Association of Independent Schools of NSW. Throughout her career, Clare provided specialist operational advice and support to organisational leaders on managing child abuse and neglect concerns, investigations, serious allegations against employees, employment relations and risk management.

Anna Morris, Head of Leadership and Culture

Anna is an experienced leader and practitioner with unique experience in child protection and wellbeing, human resources, organisational development and coaching. Anna holds an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master of Coaching Psychology. Before joining Halloran Morrissey, Anna worked in senior government and corporate roles in education, families and communities, and banking and finance sectors. Anna is interested in building the capability of leaders, individuals and teams to enhance their performance confidently.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made in writing to the Event Organiser.

Where applicable, no refunds will be issued after 3 days out from the event. Any cancellations made after this date will be charged the full registration fee. 'No Shows' to the event will be charged the full registration fee. 

The event program is subject to change without prior notice.

Registration fees do not include insurance to cover loss of any fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the event or through cancellation of the event itself.

Where applicable, a full refund will be issued if the event is cancelled by the organiser (CSA) due to COVID-19 restrictions or any other reasons out of the organisers control.
