CSA/CPX Cultural Apologetics in the Classroom - SYDNEY

CSA/CPX Cultural Apologetics in the Classroom - SYDNEY

Choice of 2 dates to attend this event: 27 October - SYDNEY

Nate Armsberry from CPX will explore the classroom as a cross-cultural environment leaving a practical framework for participants to help communicate with greater clarity and cultural awareness. Two events are being held, one at Wyong Christian Community School 20 October & one in Sydney at CSA Head Office on 27 October.

One of the greatest barriers of faith formation today isn't what we teach - it's the culture gap between the teacher and the student. As a result even when we communicate the Christian faith clearly, students may hear something quite different from what we intended.

Event Information

Nate Armsberry is the Youth and Schools Coordinator at the Centre for Public Christianity, and he'll explore the classroom as a cross-cultural environment, drawing on insights from anthropology, missiology and cultural apologetics. Together we'll consider practical ways to bridge the culture gap between teachers and students. Participants will leave with a practical framework and a range of communication tools to help them communicate with greater clarity, relevance and cultural awareness. This event is open to people from member and non-member schools and is ideally suited to Heads of faith formation, Heads of Christian Studies, teachers of Stage 5 & 6 and Stage 5-6 Well-being leaders. This event is being run on 2 dates, Tuesday 20 October in Wyong and Tuesday 27 October in Sydney. Parking is available onsite, on the right-hand side of the building.
