CSA is offering this two-day Masterclass program which will focus on peer coaching as a highly effective method for professional development and teacher enhancement.

The significance of teaching quality on student outcomes is widely acknowledged. Peer coaching stands out as a highly effective method for professional development and teacher enhancement. The CSA 'Teachers Coaching Teachers' Peer Coaching Masterclass offers a systematic and tailored approach to improving teaching practices. This two-day program fosters collegial discussions and trains educators in observing peers, offering constructive feedback, and facilitating meaningful conversations. With a clear emphasis on continually refining pedagogical skills through a structured peer coaching initiative, TCT aims to elevate teaching practices in the classroom.

Event Information

This masterclass is targeted to classroom Teachers and Middle Teachers (Senior Leaders and Principals are most welcome) and will be held in person.

Registration cost for this masterclass, exclusively for CSA members only, is $100+GST and includes morning tea, lunch and program materials.

Event Program

DAY 1 - Monday 10 June: 8.30am for a 9am start - 4pm

An introduction to peer coaching with a mix of theoretical content, and scaffolded skill development.

DAY 2 - Tuesday 11 June: 8.30am for a 9am start - 3pm

Participants are given the opportunity to practice their coaching skills in a safe, respectful, and supportive environment using video stimulus material.

Registered participants will receive more information on the requirements for Day Two, once registered.

Speakers

Program Facilitator: Andrew Taylor

Andrew Taylor, currently serves as the Executive Officer, Qld and has over 30 years' experience in a range of leadership roles in education and has spent the last 15 years focusing on building capacity in teachers and school leaders. Andrew leads the national portfolio for School Improvement and is an experienced school improvement consultant focusing on building strong foundations that underpin all school activities.

Qualify for CPD Hours

At the conclusion of this event, a certificate of professional learning will be made available to attendees for self-accreditation via your member dashboard. The event will address the following AITSL standards and newly released Christian Distinctive Focus areas:
