What does CSA profess in relationship with Australia's first people? That we seek to develop more than just a narrative with our indigenous brothers and sisters. As First and Second Peoples, we strive to journey together, creating socially just and equitable relationships and listening to and learning from one another. This is why we are so proud of CSA's association with CAPS - Christian Aboriginal Parent-directed Schools. They are showing one of many modes and models of schooling here at Wongutha. We support their staff and leadership team to deliver educational solutions, equipping their students to flourish in life in a manner and model that fits their context and needs. Asking the questions: Can we as Christian educators, go beyond the classroom, the teaching of lessons and model Jesus with real and authentic lives? Can we show caring and genuine practice as we meet our young people at their point of need? Encouraging them to build wellness, wholeness and resilience and encourage them to step into who they have been called to be?

CSA has now published its third important piece of national research on Christian schools that provides unprecedented understanding and insights regarding the parents that select Christian schools for their children. This comprehensive national study entitled Why Parents Choose Christian Schools: Christian Schools Community Profile Survey, involved 101 CSA Member schools from across the nation and collected data from 8,595 respondents. The survey investigated the perceptions and priorities of our Christian school families as well as their demographic profiles and the way they engage, support and interact with their school communities. This Report provides, for the first time, national trends, themes, and benchmarks that are unique to CSA schools across the nation. The survey was unprecedented in both its size and scope and establishes important national baseline data regarding parents’ values, spirituality, engagement, decision-making, levels of satisfaction and personal perceptions and engagement across CSA member schools in Australia.

The CSA Formation Framework has been developed to help schools thoughtfully consider their approach to student formation. It seeks to lay a theological foundation, which is centred around the Biblical story and the person of Jesus, as well as explore the practical role of the school. Furthermore, the framework is designed to be a guiding document for the content that will be developed in the CSA Formation Hub. This Formation Framework is a starting point to provoke important discussion around the role of Christian schools in forming young people in the image and likeness of Jesus, who will know, understand, imagine, embody, and expand the Kingdom of God. In the document, you will discover a model of formation that will be progressively unpacked. This model can be used as an audit and encouragement for schools to develop a strategic approach to formation across the whole of the school.
