Foundations of Christian Education is an online, self-paced Staff Induction Program which aims to empower staff in Christian schools to embrace purpose and mission as they seek to bring the message of Jesus, through education, to a world in need. This course is highly suitable for all staff new to Christian schooling. The course explores the vision, history and purpose of Christian schooling, the hallmarks of a Christian school culture, the role that faith, theology and worldview play in a school environment and what it looks like to work, teach, and live out the Christian life in a school.

This program is an online course, that is undertaken at your own pace and housed on the CSA Professional Learning Hub. It is designed for all staff from CSA member schools. Please select the entire course below or the individual module in which you would like to enrol.

You will be sent an email to complete your registration and enrolment within the CSA Professional Learning Hub. You will also receive an invoice to your email addressed to your school.

Foundations of Christian Education

Recommended Option to undertake the full course, includes each of the four modules and the introduction.

Module 1: Vision

This module explores the vision, history and purpose of Christian schooling and gives some insight as to how this could play out in each school.

Cost: $10 +GST 

Module 2: Culture

This module looks at the hallmarks of a Christian culture and how it can be fostered, developed and maintained, as well as the impacts it may have on overall school vision.

Cost: $10 +GST 

Module 3: Faith

This module specifically tackles the role that faith, theology and worldview play in a school environment and how this can be done well.

Cost: $10 +GST 

Module 4: Practice

This module evaluates what it looks like to work, teach, and live out the Christian life in a school and the impact this has on everyone involved.

Cost: $10 +GST 

Qualify for CPD Hours

At the conclusion of this course, a certificate of professional learning, for self-accreditation, will be made available to participants, via your member dashboard. The CPD hours allocated are one CPD hour per module and 4 CPD hours for the full course. The event will address the following AITSL standards and Christian Distinctive Focus areas:
